Panama

Why Panama?

People often only know the country because of the Panama Canal. The canal is Revolutionary and is called "The Eighth Wonder of the World", but there is much more to Panama. Panama City is a cosmopolitan city with a Manhattan-like skyline, but also boasts amazing historical sites. Not to mention the Panama Viejo (Old Panama) with ruins of the 16th century or the Casco Viejo with its colonial buildings and artistic bars. Also for the adventurous amongst us there is plenty to do; Sportfishing, diving, rafting, kayaking, canopy, horseriding, birding and nature treks are some of the activities considered world-class. Panama has some rich rainforests.

Panama has it all: fifteen hundred islands on both the Caribbean and Pacific coasts. Still seven native and indigenous cultures live in Panama, one of these indigenous populations are the Kuna. Their home is the San Blas; or as they prefer to cal it: Kuna Yala. With its white sandy beaches and crystal clear water, this is the Caribbean at its best. For sailing it is definitely the pearl of Panama.
